Summer Camp 2015 Day 2

Summer Camp continues

Having spent Day 1 class time on orientation, today’s classes the scouts did more hands on activities.
Trail to Eagle scouts learned knife and axe safely, thus earning their Totin chip card.

The camp found out about the flags being lowered to half-staff at lunchtime to honor the heroes from Chattanooga.

If you need your car inspection completed, Harry can help you out as he learned those skills during Automotive Matinenance session.

Tuesday night is always Chapel night at camp – Harry was one of the speakers during the ceremony as part of Communications merit badge.

A flag retirement ceremony was held at Harris cabin with participation of the campers. The ceremony was perfect  timing with the lowering of flags to half-staff earlier in the day.

Tuesday also brought Movie night to the dining hall with The Hobbit being shown

The scouts slept under the stars around the campfire – it was finally a night when it would take place.
Thanks to Mr. Stumbris for staying out with the troop.  Mr. Yoder came out to help provide two deep leadership.

Breakfast was Western scrambled eggs, hash browns and toast

Lunch was Pizza, carrots and fruit cocktail

Dinner was lasagna and mixed vegetables.
