The scouts woke up to much cooler temperatures for the morning after sleeping out by the campfire all night.
Breakfast was French toast and sausage patties. As with every breakfast, chipped beef on toast, oatmeal, cereal, fresh fruit and the ever popular peanut butter and jelly.
A big thank you to Mr. Yoder for spending yesterday and last night with the scouts. Mr. Hower arrived in the morning and will stay with the troop until we leave on Saturday.
While the troop was eating breakfast, campsite inspections were taking place. The inspections had been taking place during 1st Period. As a result of this change, the troop lost points since magic cards left out on the table, trash around, etc were out and the flaps on the tent were not consistent – either having them all open or have them all closed. – Best is to have them closed.
Trail to Eagle scouts learned how to use a compass and how to read a map. An important set of skills to learn when your GPS runs out of power.
Lunch was Pennsylvania BBQ, fries and peas. And the ever popular peanut butter and jelly.
After lunch, the troop performed their assigned camp cleaning duty with cleaning the shower house.
Dinner was the best with Troop 538’s pot luck supper held at the campsite - White Buffalo.
Families came out to see the troop and attend the OA ceremony.
Congratulations to Michael Tiffin and Zane Yoder for being selected for Ordeal Candidates for Order of the Arrow.
Thank you to all the families that came out and the wonderful pot luck supper. The best part of family night is all the left over treats the scouts will enjoy the rest of the week.
The troop slept by the campfire again since it was a beautiful night.
Onward to Day 4!
